BNP has called a strike on election day

 Bangladesh's main opposition party BNP has announced a two-day hartal, including the polling day for the 12th National Assembly elections.

BNP has announced a 48-hour hartal from January 6 to January 8 on Saturday in support of the January 7 vote boycott and non-cooperation movement. This program of BNP has been given from six o'clock in the morning on January 6.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced this in an emergency press conference on YouTube.

However, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi gave a correction on a YouTube channel saying that it was mistakenly said to be December 6.
